New Delhi. India to experience state-of-the-art Hydroponic farming, credits to Lemonchillii and Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University. Lemonchillii Farms Pvt Ltd is a Hydroponic farm that produces exotic fruits and vegetables at premium quality and provide it in affordable prices to commercial platforms. Both the parties have collaborated to produce and supply fresh, clean, safe fruits and vegetables across India as well as to spread awareness and benefits of Hydroponic farming.

What is Hydroponic farming?

Hydroponics is the technique of growing plants using a water-based nutrient solution rather than soil. Hydroponic production systems can be used by small farmers, hobbyists, and commercial enterprises.

According to USDA: “Growing plants in water culture or sand culture without soil are procedures that have been used by physiologists studying plant nutrition and by other plant scientists for more than a century.” (Growing Crops Without Soil. Beltsville, MD: USDA, rev 1965.)

This apparently subtle change in how we create food (that is, skipping the soil) is actually a revolutionary one since it enables producers to grow food anywhere in the world at any time of the year while using less energy and resources.

Benefits of this collaboration

Through the collaboration, Lemonchillii Farms will receive advanced technical advice from the Horticultural University and will be able to increase their knowledge, experience, and network while growing fruit and vegetable crops to a high standard.

Farmers and also private and public entrepreneurs will learn technical “know-how” and “do-how” skills through the programs, which will also give them all the resources and incentives they need to practice and perform. The partnership will help establish farming standards that will help provide higher returns from consumers, farmers, and the agricultural sector.
