Yercaud to host 48th flower festival from May 22

The weather of Yercaud has now become pleasant due to rain over the past week. Thousands of colorful flowers are in full bloom at Anna Park, Rose Garden, and the Botanical Garden, ready to be the attraction of the visitors. The 6,000 pots of the Yercaud rose variety ‘Dahlia’ are flourishing. Numerous other flowers like marigolds, verbena, and phlox are also blooming. With e-pass systems implemented in Ooty and Kodaikanal, more tourists are likely to choose Yercaud.

Apart from the flower show, several other events will also take place, such as fruit and vegetable exhibitions, trekking, volleyball, tug-of-war, and a marathon race. Some cultural programmes are also expected to take place. Visitors will get everything for their enjoyment. The Yercaud administration has also arranged bus services for the visitors so that they can reach the spot easily.

The ticket price is Rs 300 and Rs 150 for adults and children, respectively. Booking is available on the government website www.tnstc.in or the TNSTC app. The upcoming flower show will be full of fun for the tourists. They will get a chance to see many unique varieties of flowers in one place. The organizers expect that the footfall is expected to be high this year because the weather is also conducive.
