The announcement was made on Wednesday by Noida Authority’s Chief Executive Officer, Lokesh M. He said that if the new rule is not followed, legal action could be taken, including the filing of an FIR (police complaint) against the president or secretary of the Apartment Owners Association (AOA). In societies that do not have an AOA, the responsibility will fall on the builder and the flat owner. “All flower pots placed on balcony parapets or stands must be removed immediately,” said CEO Lokesh M. “Strict action will be taken against anyone who does not follow this.”
Officials further added that some residents extend their balconies to keep flowerpots in such places; that will be considered an illegal construction. All these steps are taken for safety purposes. Therefore, flat owners will have to be careful, and they have to remove flower pots from the balconies immediately to stop any mishap. Guilty parties need to be punished, and legal action should be taken against them.
