Ooty: Thousands of people thronged to witness the vibrant Ooty Flower Show, inaugurated by the Tamil Nadu CM Stalin on Thursday. Nature and flower lovers from across the country have been turning up to see the festival. It is being organized at the Government Botanical Garden; the event is known for its vibrant displays and artistic floral creations. This year’s talk of the show is the replica of Rajaraja Chola’s royal palace, built by using two lakh carnations and marigolds. It is 75 feet wide and 25 feet high, the mammoth floral installation, pulling a huge number of visitors.
 
 
The eight-foot-high crane model made with 50,400 flowers is another big attraction in the festival. Besides this, tourists are enjoying floral sculptures of an elephant, a swing, a royal seat, a waterfall, and a selfie spot a lot. The addition of 30,000 new flower shrubs has created a colourful and festive environment.

Departments such as horticulture, agriculture, tourism, forestry, and tribal affairs have set up their stalls to provide interesting stories and information to visitors. A huge crowd can be seen in all the stalls. The garden has been decorated like a newlywed bride, making it a perfect place for selfies and photography.

 

The curtain of the Ooty Flower Show will come down on May 25, providing a wonderful leisure spot for the families and nature lovers. Therefore, tourists have shown a lot of enthusiasm and are enjoying their time at the show. Apart from the flower show, the event has something for everyone who attends.
