Kabul: Uzbekistan and Afghanistan have decided to promote horticulture and landscaping in both countries. In view of this, they started a new project called the “Friendship Garden.” This gigantic garden will be spread over 100 hectares of land in Afghanistan. All the innovative techniques are set to be applied to grow quality fruits in the garden along with spreading greenery in the country as well.
This plan was finalized during a visit to Afghanistan by a team from Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Jamshid Abduzukhurov. Experts from both nations have decided to work together to make this scheme successful.

The goal of the project is to increase fruit farming in Afghanistan and boost its production. This initiative will provide new job opportunities to locals and enhance business. This effort will strengthen the economy of the country. This is not the first time Uzbekistan has started such a project. Earlier, a similar “Friendship Garden” was opened in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. There, fruit trees from Uzbekistan that are suited to the local weather are being grown.
The project is a symbol of cooperation between the two nations. It also makes it clear that neighbors can help to make the better future of others by sharing essential knowledge and resources. Modern technologies are to be used to make this garden vibrant, which will expand the horticulture sector in the entire region.
