Among the many flowers seen just before the rainy season, the monsoon flower stands out. These bright reddish-orange flowers bloom in large clusters on tall trees, grabbing the attention of anyone passing by. Wherever these trees grow, the area looks like a red carpet has been rolled out, especially under the clear blue sky.
Belonging to the Fabaceae family, these trees become a visual treat during the month of May, which is why they are popularly known as “May Flowers.” However, the flowering usually begins in April itself.
Credit goes to the Forest Department for planting such kinds of trees beside the roads. The tree can’t be used for other purposes, but its eye-catching flowers make the environment calm and peaceful. Apart from scattering flowers, trees also spread massive shades, and their combination makes the scenery unique.
