Minister Chouhan went on to say that the demand for fruits, vegetables, and other horticultural products is increasing as people are gradually getting prosperous. He stressed that it is essential to spread awareness regarding horticulture research and its advantages in boosting farmers’ income and strengthening the economy of the country.

The minister further added that it is necessary that research activities and other information should reach farmers so they can avail themselves of the benefits of government schemes and start using new technologies in farming.
