i-Khedut Portal to help horticulture farmers learn about government scheme

Bhavnagar: i-Khedut Portal 2.0 has been unveiled for the year 2025–26 to provide all kinds of help to horticulture farmers in Bhavnagar district. Farmers who want to get benefits from various schemes of the Horticulture Department can apply online through the official website www.ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in from April 24, 2025, to May 31, 2025.

However, this facility is available only to those who have previously registered on the i-Khedut portal. Applicants need to upload the mandatory documents and confirm their application. Farmers should not forget to take a printout of the form.

Once the application is approved, the farmer must submit the claim (bill file) with a signature and all supporting documents to the Deputy Director of Horticulture Office, Navapara, Bhavnagar, without fail.

The schemes cover various components such as support for raw, semi-finished, and finished sheds for vegetable crops; productivity enhancement programs for mango and guava; assistance for dragon fruit and papaya (tissue culture) plantations; support for rejuvenating old mango and lemon orchards; aid for moringa and coconut cultivation; and nursery development and self-employment initiatives.

With the initiative of the i-Khedut Portal, farmers of Bhavnagar will get a chance to learn about the state government’s subsidy schemes. They can apply and receive financial assistance for various activities in horticulture farming. The farming community has a great opportunity to easily obtain subsidies through the portal and increase their productivity and income.
