Participants were looking enthusiastic, taking a pledge to work as law-abiding citizens and try to save the natural resources at any cost. This kind of event sent a message about what the role of a common man is in spreading greenery and controlling pollution. Organizers said they will inspire people to plant more trees, reduce waste, and follow sustainable practices in daily life.
Minister Mundian appreciated everyone for joining the walkathon and showing concern for the environment. He highlighted the urgent need to adopt eco-friendly habits to protect our planet. “It is our duty to leave a healthier Earth for future generations,” he said.
The walkathon was planned and organized by volunteers along with several city-based NGOs, including Marshall Aid Foundation, Team 1699, Sambhav Foundation, Sehyog Enterprises, and others. These groups are active and working on various social and environmental issues in the region.
This initiative unites the people to encourage them to participate in the tree plantation to make the city greener. It also shows that when people come together for any noble cause, then change must come sooner or later.
