Faridabad: There is an urgent need to plant more and more trees round the year as well as initiate other measures to fight increasing air pollution and improve the quality of the air in Faridabad.

The report, titled “Ambient Air Pollution Source Apportionment Study of Faridabad,” estimated that road and construction dust are the main contributor, 51% of PM10 pollutant. These harmful particles affect lungs, and dust levels rise in summer due to dry and windy weather. Industrial emissions contribute 38% of the city’s PM2.5.
