Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, led the Indian side, and Oksana Osmachko, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, represented the Ukrainian delegation.
Both countries decided to work on modern farming techniques and agricultural research. They decided to help farmers through knowledge exchange programmes and training in the horticulture sector. Their main focus was on climate-resilient farming, genome editing, digital tools for farmers, and soil fertility mapping.
The officials discussed improvement in horticulture productivity, transfer of technology, and market access in the horticulture sector in both countries. They also discussed increasing productivity and boosting farmers' incomes in both countries. Indian officials from ministries and other departments were present in the online meeting.
