The parks will be part of a bigger blue-green infrastructure plan announced by the state government in its Budget 2025–26. They will soak up rainwater, and besides this, make such places beautiful so that people can visit such parks and enjoy the nature.
Design experts have been hired to create plans for the parks. These plans will include systems to hold and clean water, such as wetlands, bioswales (special plant-filled ditches), and reed beds. The parks will be packed with fun and community activities, like lovely gardens, play areas, and open-air theatres.
Experts are studying the local conditions, soil, water flow and nearby surroundings before taking final decisions. They are consulting locals to understand their needs. A traffic survey is also taking place around each site so that expansion in the future can be possible. After the development of these parks, the city will be greener and safer from floods, the air quality will improve, and it will improve the air quality of the city.
