Singh announced this during an online meeting and training session on the ‘Krishi Mapper’ app, developed by the central government. This app will locate the exact location of farms, orchards and assets, check duplication of beneficiaries, and help keep a centralised digital record of horticulture and agriculture activities through geo-tagging and geo-fencing. The Director further added all field officers need to be trained swiftly so that they can use Krishi Mapper with ease.
He asked officials to upload the data on time, create user IDs for departmental as well as field-level staff, and follow the guidelines strictly. All the projects must be geo-tagged and geo-fenced for getting subsidies.
Singh went on to say that upcoming features such as integration with the MIDH Suraksha portal, offline data entry, and further expansion are expected to improve transparency; assessment of work progress will become easy, making supervision smoother.
