New Delhi: Bayer has launched its new insecticide called Camalus, made especially to control a wide range of pests, such as both chewing and sucking insects. These insects are the major problem for the vegetable growers. Camalus works at double speed—it easily stops pests from feeding and protects plants’ roots and leaves. This gives farmers long-lasting protection; they don’t need to spray repeatedly. This method helps save time, labour, and input costs.

Farmers can get this product from August 2025 in many states, such as Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. It is to be available in two packs, 150 ml and 300 ml, respectively.

Tomato, brinjal, chilli, cabbage, and okra growers are expected to get a lot of benefits when Camalus is applied during the cultivation of such vegetables. It will not allow pests to penetrate and ruin the crop. This will definitely help in boosting the production and increasing farmers’ income.

Mohan Babu, Cluster Commercial Lead at Bayer’s Crop Science Division, said that vegetables play a significant role in India’s nutrition and exports. With the launch of Camalus, the goal of Bayer is to strengthen pest management and help farmers with innovative, sustainable solutions while ensuring crop quality and productivity.
