The focus of the event was to promote organic farming and boost crop yield along with increasing the income of farmers. During the event 48 farm families got necessary agricultural inputs so that they can modernise their farming techniques.
MIDH has been transmitting agriculture knowledge to farmers through eco-friendly methods and giving them modern tools that help them to increase their productivity. Each kit included 12 kinds of hybrid vegetable seeds, liquid organic manure, organic pesticides, fungicides, bactericides, granular manure, and sprayers.
Senior officials of Duitongkhar, Tsetan Droma, while speaking on the occasion, highlighted the significance of horticulture as a source of income. She urged farmers to grow crops as per the local climate and asked for group farming to boost market access and avail all the subsidies given by the government.
