Kumaraswamy stressed the need for large-scale horticulture training infrastructure to accommodate 500+ farmers at a time, helping them learn about new technologies developed by ICAR-IIHR. Dr. Manjunath encouraged farmers from across India to take part in horticulture so that they can get knowledge of modern techniques and boost their yield. He went on to say that it is essential to set up a Jackfruit, Jamun, and Tamarind Board, aiming to support horticulture farmers in the southern region, just like the announcement was made about the establishment of the Makhana Board in Bihar in the 2025 Union Budget.

More than 50,000 visitors, including farmers, entrepreneurs, students, and horticulture enthusiasts, turned up to witness the three-day vibrant horticulture festival. The fair displayed advanced horticulture technologies, innovative farming practices, and the latest developments in the sector.

The National Horticulture Fair 2025 was a wonderful platform for farmers to gain knowledge on how to improve produce through modern techniques to increase their incomes along with strengthening the country’s agricultural sector.
