Soil Health Award for Agri-Horticulture Department
For their remarkable accomplishments in the crop cluster development program and soil health card, the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments received the Skoch Gold Award.
Sumita Misra, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, and Arjun Saini, Director-General, Horticulture Department, received the award in New Delhi on Haryana’s behalf. He said Haryana was consistently setting new aspects in the agribusiness and cultivation area. Through diversification, the state government was attempting to boost farmers’ profits and incomes. Haryana, the state that contributes the second most foodgrains to the national pool, has implemented numerous policy initiatives to promote agribusiness and diversify horticulture.
